1. About this policy
Team Spinoff (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates Flame and this website, flameworkout.com. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Flame, visit this site, or contact us. It is specific to Flame; other Team Spinoff products may have different notices.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to [email protected]. Your workout records, technical app data, and purchase records are different categories of information, as explained below.
2. Information we handle
Workout and training information
Flame stores the information you enter to use its features, such as exercises, sets, weights, repetitions, workout dates and durations, routines, personal records, and body measurements. The app’s workout database is stored locally on your device. Device-level backup or transfer settings may also affect copies of this information.
Setup choices and app interactions
Flame may process answers you provide during setup, such as goals, experience, gender, body weight, available equipment, training schedule, measurement preferences, and how you found Flame, where those questions are presented. Superwall processes setup answers and related plan attributes to operate onboarding and subscription offers. Selected goal, experience, program, schedule, and acquisition attributes may also be sent to RevenueCat; related onboarding information is included in Firebase analytics. We receive events about app use, such as onboarding steps, workout actions, paywall views, and purchase outcomes. Workout analytics can include session duration, exercise count, and total training volume. This is separate from reading information from Apple Health or Health Connect.
Device, diagnostic, and subscription information
Our service providers may process installation or app-user identifiers, device and operating-system details, IP addresses, event timestamps, crash reports, and technical error information. Purchase services process product identifiers, transaction records, subscription status, and entitlement information. Related installation identifiers may be linked across our analytics and purchase services.
Messages you send us
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and anything you choose to attach. Please send only information needed to resolve your request. Do not send payment-card details or passwords.
3. How we use information
- Provide workout logging, routines, history, statistics, and related app features.
- Apply your setup and measurement preferences.
- Present subscription offers, verify purchases, restore access, and manage Pro entitlements.
- Understand app usage, improve onboarding and features, and diagnose crashes or failures.
- Respond to support and privacy requests, maintain security, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.
4. Apple Health and Health Connect
With your permission, Flame can write completed workout sessions to Apple Health on iOS or Health Connect on Android. The current integration requests write access for workouts; it does not request permission to read your health-platform history. The workout information written includes the activity type and session timing supported by the integration.
This permission is optional. You can turn off health sync in Flame and revoke permission in your device’s Health or Health Connect settings. Data already written to the health platform is managed there; clearing Flame’s local records does not automatically remove those separate entries.
Flame does not use information from Apple Health or Health Connect for advertising. The health-platform integration does not upload your health-platform records to our servers.
5. Services that help run Flame
We use service providers for specific operational purposes. Their processing depends on the feature you use and the data described above.
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase | App analytics and Crashlytics error diagnostics. |
| RevenueCat | Purchase validation, subscription status, and Pro entitlements. |
| Superwall | Onboarding, paywalls, offer configuration, and related interaction data. |
| Apple and Google | App distribution, store payments, subscription management, and optional device health services. |
| Cloudflare | Delivery and security of this website, including network request information. |
Apple or Google processes store payments. We do not receive your full payment-card number from those transactions. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protections. We do not sell your personal information.
6. When you visit this website
If you choose “Allow counts”, we send basic usage events: the page, action type (page view, tool interaction, log export, or store-link click), store platform, and a broad referral category. We store daily aggregate counts rather than individual browsing histories. Records older than 90 days are removed when new consented page-view counts are processed; cleanup can wait until activity resumes if there are no such visits. The event database does not store your IP address, device identifier, full referral URL, calculator values, or workout-log entries. Our infrastructure still receives normal network requests as described below.
Usage counting is off until you allow it. We remember your choice in this browser’s local storage and honor supported Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Use “Usage preferences” in the footer to change the choice; declining or withdrawing stops future counts without affecting the tools. Aggregate counts cannot identify or remove an individual event after collection.
Our hosting provider receives network and browser information, such as IP address, request details, and device/browser headers, to deliver and protect the website. This site provides product information and links; it does not offer a Flame account login or take subscription payments directly.
App Store, Google Play, support-provider, and other external links lead to services with their own policies. If you email us, your email provider and ours process that communication. Any storage or cookies used by infrastructure or external services are governed by the relevant service and applicable settings.
7. Your choices and deletion
- Local training records: Flame’s Settings includes “Clear All Data”. This resets local workout data and related app settings after confirmation. It is a destructive action; keep any records you need before using it.
- Health permissions: turn off sync in Flame and manage permissions or existing entries in Apple Health or Health Connect.
- Notifications: manage Flame’s notification settings in the app and your device settings.
- Provider-held information: email us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we or our providers hold on our behalf. We may need information to verify and locate your request.
- Subscriptions: clearing data or uninstalling Flame does not cancel a store subscription. Manage it through the store that billed you.
Local deletion does not automatically delete store transaction records, provider-held diagnostic or subscription information, device backups, or health-platform entries. We handle requests for other information subject to verification, applicable law, and records we must retain.
8. Retention and security
Local records remain on your device until removed through the app or device controls, subject to backup and restore behavior. We retain support correspondence and provider-held operational information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including resolving issues, managing purchases, security, and legal obligations. Retention periods differ by data category and service provider; we do not promise an immediate deletion of every record when you remove the app.
We use reasonable measures to protect information. No internet transmission, device, or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device and any copies of your workout information.
9. Regional privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, to object to or restrict processing, or to withdraw consent. You may also have a right to appeal a decision or complain to a privacy regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
For people in the EEA or UK, processing may rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests such as maintaining and improving the service, legal obligations, or consent where required. Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing.
California residents may request information about collection and disclosure and exercise applicable deletion, correction, and opt-out rights. Send requests, including requests about sale or sharing under applicable law, to [email protected].
10. International processing and children
Team Spinoff and its providers may process information in the Republic of Korea, the United States, and other countries where they operate. Applicable protections and transfer requirements depend on the service and jurisdiction. Privacy rights are not waived simply by using the app.
Flame is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. If you believe a child has provided us personal information contrary to applicable requirements, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.
11. Updates and contact
We may update this policy as Flame changes. We will update the date on this page and provide additional notice where required for material changes. This notice describes our practices; it does not replace any consent the law requires.
