1. Using Flame
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Flame mobile app and flameworkout.com, provided by Team Spinoff (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using these services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission under local law, obtain it before using or purchasing the service. Flame is not intended for children under 13 or a higher minimum age required by applicable law.
2. Your license and responsibilities
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Flame in accordance with these Terms and the applicable store rules. Flame and its content remain the property of Team Spinoff or their respective licensors.
You may not unlawfully copy or redistribute the app, remove proprietary notices, interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, bypass access controls, or access information you are not authorized to use. Restrictions on reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not override applicable open-source licenses.
Keep your device and store account secure. You are responsible for the information you enter and for using the app in a lawful way.
3. Fitness information and your safety
Flame is a workout planning and logging tool. Exercise descriptions, programs, calculations, statistics, and other content are for general fitness information. They are not medical advice, a diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for a qualified professional.
Choose activities appropriate to your condition and experience, use appropriate technique and equipment, and seek qualified advice when needed. Stop exercising if you experience concerning symptoms. Estimates and calculations can be incomplete or inaccurate. We do not guarantee strength gains, muscle growth, weight change, or any particular result.
4. Pro, billing, and renewal
Some features require Flame Pro or another in-app purchase. The purchase screen shows the plan, price, billing period, and any offer or trial that applies before you confirm. Availability and prices can vary by platform and region. A free download does not mean that every feature is free or that every user receives a trial.
Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play using your store account. Auto-renewing subscriptions continue and are billed at the applicable renewal price unless canceled in accordance with the store’s rules. If a trial is offered, the purchase screen explains when billing begins and how to avoid the charge.
Manage or cancel through the store that billed you. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, then Payments & subscriptions and Subscriptions. Follow the store’s displayed deadline; for Apple trials and renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the end if required by the applicable offer.
Deleting Flame or clearing its data does not cancel a subscription. Subject to store rules and applicable law, canceling stops future renewal and access continues for the period already paid for.
5. Restore purchases and refunds
Use Restore Purchases in Flame’s Settings with the store account that made the purchase to recover eligible access. A purchase on one platform is not a promise of entitlement on another platform unless expressly offered.
Refund eligibility and handling are governed by the relevant store’s rules and applicable law. Apple purchases can be reviewed at reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play purchases follow Google Play’s refund process. Contact us if access is missing or you need help identifying a purchase. Nothing in these Terms removes a refund or other remedy you are entitled to by law.
6. Your workout records and content
You retain ownership of the workout information and other content you create. You give us only the rights reasonably needed to process content you provide to us to operate the service, respond to your requests, and provide features you choose. You must have the right to share anything you send to us.
The app’s workout database is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for preserving records you want to keep. Device loss, reset, uninstall, local data deletion, software issues, or backup settings can affect access to your records. We do not promise recovery of deleted local data.
Health-platform entries and store transaction records are separate from Flame’s local database. See the Privacy Policy for data controls and deletion limits.
7. Stores and connected services
Flame uses third-party services, including app stores, subscription providers, and optional device health integrations. Their availability, permissions, and separate terms also apply. External links do not mean we control or endorse all content on the destination service.
For the iOS app, the applicable Apple Standard End User License Agreement also applies. These Terms supplement applicable store requirements and do not remove rights granted under mandatory store terms or consumer law.
8. Changes and service availability
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Where a material change affects a paid service, we will provide notice or remedies required by applicable law or store rules.
You may stop using Flame at any time. We may restrict or suspend use for a material violation of these Terms, misuse, security reasons, or where required by law. Any action affecting paid access remains subject to applicable consumer rights.
9. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Flame is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or a particular training outcome. This does not exclude warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Team Spinoff is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from the services. Our total liability for claims relating to the services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the services in the previous twelve months or US $100.
These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be excluded for fraud, willful misconduct, personal injury, or mandatory consumer protections. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
10. Law and resolving a concern
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory protections in your place of residence continue to apply. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern in good faith.
Subject to any mandatory right to bring a claim in your local courts, disputes may be brought before the competent courts of the Republic of Korea. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive any non-waivable consumer rights.
11. Updates and contact
We may update these Terms and will change the date on this page. We will provide notice of material changes and obtain agreement where required by law. If you do not accept revised Terms, stop using the affected service and manage any subscription through the relevant store.
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable store terms describe the agreement for the services.
