Dumbbell incline bench press log

State whether the weight is per dumbbell or for the pair, and record completed reps. Keep the incline setting in your notes. Check the load basis and dumbbell multiplier when comparing volume.

Choose a readable load basis

For two dumbbells labeled 12 kg each, “12 kg per dumbbell” and “24 kg combined” describe the same pair. Keep that basis consistent, or mark when it changes.

For paired reps, do not double both the rep count and the load. Keep separate left- and right-side sets identifiable.

Keep the incline setting beside the exercise

Save the incline setting you used and note when it changes. Keep incline and flat dumbbell press records distinguishable so a later comparison retains that context.

Check the volume convention before comparing totals

For the fictional set below, 12 × 8 = 96 kg·reps using the per-dumbbell entry alone. Counting both dumbbells gives 12 × 8 × 2 = 192 kg·reps. Entering the combined 24 kg once also gives 192 kg·reps.

Flame has an optional setting that doubles volume for dumbbell exercises. If you already enter a combined-pair load, doubling it again changes the reported total. Check your entry basis and that setting together before comparing volume.

Start a separate worksheet

Download the Dumbbell Incline Bench Press CSV starter. Only the exercise name is prefilled. Add actual completed records, kg or lb when known, and your load convention in the exercise / variation field.

This separate worksheet is not a native Flame app import. Or use the workout log; check arithmetic with the volume calculator.
